Clann U14’s
The Clann na nGael U 14 team travelled to Salthill on Sunday last to take part in the home clubs tournament which also featured Eire Og (Carlow) and Castlebar Mitchell’s (Mayo). Clann took on Eire Og in their first game and were on top for long periods but in the end they were very unlucky to lose by 2 points. Clann were well beaten by a strong Salthill-Knocknacarra team in the second game after being denied several goals by the home keeper in the opening minutes of the game. Clann played Castlebar Mitchell’s in their final game and won by 3 – 6 to 2 – 1. The lads played their best football of the day in this game and were deserving winners. The players and management would like to thank Salthill-Knocknacarra for the invitation to play in this very well run tournament. Panel: Kevin Molloy, Patrick Harney, Oliver O'Neill, Shane Petit, Paul Mannion, Darragh Petit, Pierce Harney-Nolan, Michael Hardiman, Rudhrai McManus, Shane Lennon, Steve Flynn, Darragh Golden, Rian McManus, Ultan Harney, James McManus, Malcolm O'Hanlon, Jason Naughton, Dylan Carbery, Colm Meehan, Richard McManus, Aaron Shine, Mark Nicholson.

Ladies Senior League
Clann na nGael 3-04 Roscommon Gaels 1-04
Clann Ladies had a hard fought win over Roscommon Gaels in Cushla Park last Sunday. After 10 minutes of wasteful shooting Maeve Harney settled things with a left-footed point from an acute angle and was quickly followed by a goal from Michelle Harney-Nolan. Two more goals from Maeve and Michelle put Clann in the driving seat before half-time. Playing into the breeze in the 2nd half Clann defended well with Aisling Curley, Aisling Egan and Cathy Watson to the fore and they closed out the game with points from Ciara Fallon and Ruth Finlass. The whole team worked very hard for this win with Eileen Goode in goal and Ciara Fallon who covered inch of the large pitch pushing each other hard for player of the match. Team; Eileen Goode, Michelle Keegan, Cathy Watson, Kathy Doran O'Rourke, Amy O'Reilly, Julie Curley, Aisling Egan, Ruth Finlass (0-1), Ciara Fallon(0-1), Aisling Curley, Maeve Harney (1-1), Michelle Harney-Nolan(2-1), Joanne Naughton, Tracey Keegan.
