O’Gara Cup
It was a mixed weekend for adult teams in the club. The 2nd Team had a good win over St Ronans in Johnstown on Sunday. Ronan O’Reilly pulled off some good saves in goal while Ray Fallon added another to his growing list of man of the match performances with a wonderful display at full back. Colin Nicholson and David O’Neill were solid in midfield while all the forwards made good contributions to this win.
The seniors drew with Tulsk on Saturday evening, despite holding the lead on several occasions in the 2nd half. An goal midway through the first half from Mark Shine put Clann 2 up before a Tulsk penalty equalised. Tulsk lead by a point at half –time but 3 points from Enda Kenny, Donie Shine and Ross Naughton put Clann 2 points up early in the 2nd Half. Tulsk stayed in touch and they got the equaliser 5 minutes into injury time.
The U-14’s had a good win over Castlerea last Thursday evening in Johnstown but were well beaten by Boyle on Saturday in Boyle in their final league game. The U-12’s Division 1 team performed well in defeating Roscommon Gaels in Johnstown on Sunday morning.
