Friday evening is going to be an historic day for the club when the Junior A team become the first team to play under the new floodlights in Johnstown when they take on St Brigids at 9pm. Come along and enjoy the occasion.
Junior B Championship
Clann na nGael 2-4 Fuerty 2-8
The Clann na nGael Samz Tavern junior B team opened their championship season with a defeat away to Fuerty on Saturday evening last.

U-16 County Final
Clann na nGael 1-7 Michael Glaveys 2-10
The Clann na nGael under 16 team took on Micheal Glaveys in the county final on Saturday last in Kiltoom. Glaveys got off to a flying start and were 2-3 to 0-1 early on. Clann settled down and were 9 down at the break.
Clann needed a good start to the second half, but Glaveys had other ideas and extended before Clann staged a mini revival and a last minute goal gave Clann hope. Time was not on Clanns side and Glaveys held on to be crowned deserving winner s of the 2009 county final. Credit must go to players who did extremely well to get to the final along with their management of Gerry Pettit, Morgan Keena and Bernie Reilly.

The Clann na nGael u 14 team traveled to Boyle on Thursday and the physically bigger Boyle came out on top.

The Clann na nGael u 14 team made the long journey to Ballyfarnon to take on St Ronans on Tuesday evening last. Clann played some fine football and won the game comfortably.
