Development
Friday week last was a very proud evening for the club when the new floodlights were switched on before the O’Gara cup game between Clann na nGael and St. Brigids. We are now progressing very nicely with the moving forward of the club.
County Success
The Club would like to congratulate the Roscommon senior team on their fine win over Leitrim in the championship on Sunday. Clann were represented by Ronan O’Reilly, Jonathon Dunning, David Flynn and Donal Shine on the panel. Well done lads.
O’Rourke Cup
Clann na nGael 1–9 Western Gaels 1-8
The Clann na nGael senior team had a fine win over Western Gaels recently, which eased our relegation worries, but we need to win our two remaining games to be sure of a place in the O’Rourke Cup next year. Clann were seven points down against Western Gaels and produced a serious comeback to win by a point. Another plus of that game was the performance of Michael Brehony who was the referee on the day and he let the game flow at all times.
