Drum Heritage Week
Annual concelebrated open-air Mass at Drum Monastic Site preceded by Rosary Procession from St. Brigid’s Well on Sunday 19th June at 4.30pm. Guided Tours of heritage sites in Drum on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday – bus leaving from Drum Heritage Centre at 6.15pm both evenings.

Drum Art Group and Elphin Diocesan Lourdes Invalid Fundraising committee would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way to the very successful art display and coffee morning held recently. €500 was raised and will go towards this year’s pilgrimage.

Church Gate Collection
Elphin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes Invalid Fund will hold their annual church gate collection at Drum and Clonown churches next weekend Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June. Please support.

Book Sale at Athlone Library
Starts on Monday 20th June at 10am and continues until Saturday 25th June. Bargain books from all categories, including the Children;s library.

Freshstart Training Programme

Annual Franciscan Pilgrimage to Knock
Sunday 26th June with bus leaving St. Mary’s Hall at 10.30am sharp. Tickets €10 available at the Friary Office.

Knock Summer Youth Festival
Friday 24th to Sunday 26th June at Knock Shrine for 18-35 year-olds. Theme: Fuel for the Journey. Weekend includes inspiring talks, amazing workshops, music by Elation Ministries, reflection and more. Cost €70 including all meals and accommodation. Féile Chorp Chríost – Feast of Corpus Christi
The Corpus Christi Procession will take place on Sunday 26th June. The Blessed Sacrament will be carried across the town from St. Mary;s Church after 6pm mass to arrive at Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church at approx. 7.45pm. It is proposed that the Mysteries of Light will be recited during the procession.

Monksland Summer Camp
4th-8th July 2011 from 10am-1pm daily at the Monksland football pitches. Activities include fun and games, soccer and races. Cost €15 for 1 child, €35 for 3 children.
