Drum Active Age Christmas Party
Drum Community Care invite all Senior Citizens to their annual Mass and Christmas Party on Sunday 9th December commencing at 3pm in the Athlone Springs Hotel, Monksland.

Pioneers Card Games
Drum PTAA will hold a Progressive ’25’ card game in Clann na nGael clubhouse, Johnstown on Monday 10th December at 9pm. Your support would be very much appreciated. All welcome.

Advent Prayer Group
Meeting every Tuesday during Advent at the following times and venues:
10.15am in Tearmann Micheál, The Docks;
8pm in the Presbytery, Deerpark Road;
8pm in Monksland Community Centre;
After 7pm Mass in Drum Church (Rosary and Benediction for all the sick of the parish and those who have lost a loved one during the year).
All are welcome.

Holy Hour
There will be a Holy Hour for Advent in St. Brigid’s Church, Drum on Wednesday 12th December at 8pm.

Table Quiz
In aid of St. Joseph’s College, Summerhill, on Tuesday 11th December at 8pm in the Athlone Springs Hotel, Monksland. Table of 4: €40. Students €5 each.

Samaritans Annual Christmas Concert
On Thursday 13th December at 8pm in St. Anthony’s Franciscan Friary, featuring Army Band, Tenor David Martin, Athlone A Cappella and Cór Scoil na gCeitre Máistrí. Compere: Ciarán Mullooly. Tickets €10 and available at the Castle Gift Shop and Cunningham’s Pharmacy. The Samaritans are a totally voluntary organisation dedicated to befriending the anxious, lonely, the despairing and the suicidal or anyone who is troubled and just needs to talk to someone in complete confidence. They are available 24 hours a day at 1850-609090.

Indoor Market
An indoor market will be held in Drum Community Centre on Saturday 15th December from 11am–5pm. New and used clothing for children and adults, household brick o brack, cosmetics, yummy cakes and buns, toys, jewellery and lots more. Tea, coffee and snacks available on the day. Free parking. Athlone Toastmasters Christmas Celebration
The next meeting of the renowned public speaking club of Athlone will be held on Tuesday 11th December at 8.15pm in The Prince of Wales Hotel, Athlone. The club will also organise it’s Christmas celebration that evening with Finger Foods & Refreshments available. Coffee Morning & Sale of Work
Will be held in the mental Health Day Centre, Gentex Complex, on Wednesday 12th December from 10.30am-12.30pm. Your support would be much appreciated.

Athlone Community Radio invites you to an Art Auction & Sale on Wednesday 12th December at 8pm in their studios at the Business Development Centre, Parnell Square. You and your friends are welcome to join them for wine and cheese.
