Referendum Commission
The Referendum Commission is the independent body set up to explain the referendum proposals, promote public awareness and encourage people to vote in the upcoming Marriage Referendum and the Age of Presidential Candidates Referendum. The website refcom.ie is the central source of information on the two referendums. An Independent Guide is also being distributed to every home across the country.

Polling Day is Friday 22 May 2015. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm. Be informed. Be heard.

Athlone Meals on Wheels
They is considering extending its service to South Roscommon area. If you feel you qualify for this service please contact the manager at Athlone Meals on Wheels at 090-6494393 between 9am-12pm Monday to Friday for 2 weeks.

Clothes Collection
In Aid of The Irish Pilgrimage Trust “Caring For Children with Special Needs” In addition the Trust travels on pilgrimage annually to Lourdes at Easter with young people with special needs from all over Ireland. If you have any unwanted clothes you can support the charity by placing the clothing in a bag. Collection will take place on Sunday the Sunday 24th May at Drum Parish Hall from 10am–12 noon.

Progressive 25 Card Game
Proceeds to assist Charity Work on the Missions in Bolivia to be undertaken by local girl Catriona Harney and her friend. Takes place in Clann an nGael Club House, Johnstown on Monday 25th May at 9pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Numerous food hampers and other prizes on the night.

Roscommon Social Car Scheme
This is an organised form of transport where volunteer drivers give their time and use their own vehicles to provide transport for older people and people with disabilities who do not have their own transport attending doctors, hospitals appointments or collecting prescriptions.
