Congratulations
To the children of Cornafulla and Ardkeenan schools who made their commitment last Monday to prepare for the reception of the Sacraments of First Confession and First Holy Communion. The “Do This in Memory” Parish-based programme will commence on Saturday 24th November at the 8pm mass.

Drum Heritage Group
Important meeting to discuss “The Gathering 2013” on Wednesday 21st November at 8.30pm in the Heritage Centre. All members requested to attend.

Clonown Community Table Quiz
Annual table quiz takes place in the Shamrock Lodge on Thursday 22nd November at 8.00pm. There are prizes for first and second, raffle, spot prizes and refreshments on the night. Tables of 4 – €10 per person. You can still turn up if you do not have a full team as there will be others on the night wanting to join a team! All proceeds in aid of Clonown Community Development Projects (joint Clonown Pastoral Group and Clonown Community Site Project).

Gala Concert
Gala Concert featuring the Army band, Athlone Choral Society, Cloonakilla N.S. Choir, Breda O’Connor and Darren O’Hara on Thursday 22nd November at 8pm in Church of Ss. Peter & Paul in aid of Church Restoration Fund. Tickets €15 (children €5).

Drum Foróige Youth Club
Volunteers needed for Drum Foróige Youth Club. Are you free on a Friday evening 8-10pm during the school term? We are looking for leaders (over 18 years) who are positive role models, have an interest in carrying out projects and mentoring young people. Full training provided. Offertory Envelopes
Will be distributed to households in the Parish during the coming week. If you are not currently using envelopes and would like to contribute to the weekly Offertory Collection, please contact the Parish Office in Athlone 090-6492171 or Drum 090-6437125 to arrange a box of envelopes. A word of thanks is due to all those who help each year with the distribution of envelopes. This in itself is a huge task and if you would like to help in delivering envelopes in the areas that have no distributors, contact the Parish Office and your help would be greatly appreciated.

Athlone Joint Parish Bingo
Have you two and a half hours to spare one Sunday night in the month? Would you like to call the numbers at the bingo session in Athlone? Bingo callers (male or female) wanted. GROW Community Mental Health

Meets every other Thursday (22nd November and 6th December) at 8.15pm in the Prince of Wales Hotel, Athlone.
